Beginner's courses are usually held during the summer months consisting of three two hour sessions that usually take place on Tuesday evenings starting at 7.00pm. We run three beginners courses throughout the year, usually up to 20 participants. These courses run usually early May, mid June and early September. Due to dark nights and limited space indoors we do not run beginners courses in winter. The dates and times of the next beginners courses are:

The cost for the beginners’ course is £20 per person which covers 6 hours of tuition, usually on three consecutive weeks, and all the equipment necessary to start shooting and your insurance. The tuition involves experienced archers and club coaches on an individual basis. You do not need to bring any equipment but try to avoid loose clothing

We shoot at Sutton Coldfield Rugby Club at Walmley Road, usually on the back field during the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays and indoors during the winter on Wednesdays and Fridays, our beginners courses are usually held on a Tuesday, from 7.00 pm to about 9.00 pm in the summer months and on a Wednesdays in our September beginners’ course, from 7.00 pm till 9.00 pm

The minimum age to shoot is 11years old, and all juniors are expected to have a parent or responsible Adult to supervise the junior.

Membership of the club is decided on completion of the course and is currently £83 per adult and £25 per junior (under 18). If a junior joins with an adult their membership is reduced from £25 to £12
